The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

New Zealand Photos! + Review!

We went out yesterday but it was not to take pictures I had brought my camera just in case but none of my other lenses. I'm sorry the photos are not as amazing as they could have been with my macro lens. I really did not feel like lugging the huge bag on my date. Even so I managed to get some really pretty photo some of which I will make stock out of for all of you that love my stock photos. On the stock topic please remember you need to tell me if you use any of my photos on something. I like to see what people create out of my work!
Here are a couple photos I took yesterday:

I have found myself addicted to a restaurant here called Lone Star. It's a Texas themed steak house much like "The Outback Steak House" Back in the states. The food is really nice although I do wish that they had some of the things I like with my Ribs/steak like A1, BBQ sauce and something no one has around here Ranch dressing. I took some pictures when I went for dinner yesterday to share with you and be warned it will make you hungry. If you have some spare time check out the restaurant's site [link].

I will be the first to admit that the ribs here are not "redneck" at all they are nothing like the ribs you get in any part of the south. They are covered in a sweet glaze that is very different but really nice. I have to say these are the best ribs I have ever had and I only wish they had a BBQ sauce option.
