7000 Views?! Woah!

Journal Entry: Sat Oct 31, 2009, 9:38 PM

Important EDIT:
I need some help my camera's flash smells like it's on fire and it's rattling. I don't know why or what it could be, the flash works but I'm scared to use it.
If anyone knows anything about cameras PLEASE let me know what you think. I love my Canon and I need it on Tuesday!
Do you think it is safe to use or should I take it in for repair?
It's a rebel EOS xt.
Thanks for your time!

What on earth?! When did this happen?
Thank you all for your support all the new :+devwatch: and :+fav:!
I'm thankful to have so many fans on here.

This lady is so nice!

If you have one, try swapping to an external flash before you fix it? If not, use different bulbs and torches.. anything to take the pressure off your camera flash!
And most cameras have a flash off mode :)

Ahh try shining torches or any other portable light source at your subject :)
I hope your camera gets fixed soon! It's so sad to see a camera like that :'(

Would think if it smells of burning you shouldn`t use it - get it looked at as may cause more problems to the rest of the camera (assuming its non a stand-alone flash)

Perhaps if you don`t need a flash for your shoot you could still use it before getting fixed?

Yeah I'm not sure quite how to turn the flash off unless i take it out of macro mode which i will need for the shoot.
This is my first real camera so I'm still even now figuring it out.

I'm not an expert on cameras, right now im having some camera problems as well >__< but i really recommend taking your camera into the nearest shop, trust me, you dont want to wait too long or the problem might get worse :/

i hope your camera can get repaired soon!!
